The Nebraska Women in Agriculture program, in collaboration with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, is proud to announce the launch of a new online course, QuickBooks Online for Farmers and Ranchers, available beginning June 5, 2026. This program is designed specifically for agricultural producers seeking to better understand and manage their finances using QuickBooks Online.
Whether you are brand new to QuickBooks or looking to improve your existing bookkeeping practices, this course provides step-by-step guidance tailored to the unique needs of farm and ranch operations.
Course participants will learn how to:
- Set up a QuickBooks Online account for agricultural operations
- Record income and expenses accurately, including common farm transactions
- Track inventory, equipment, and loan payments
- Generate financial reports to make informed business decisions
- Avoid common mistakes that lead to inaccurate records
The course features short instructional videos, interactive exercises, downloadable worksheets, and example farm and ranch chart of accounts. Learners will also gain access to resources developed by both Nebraska Women in Agriculture, Nebraska’s Center for Agriculture Profitability, and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension specialists.
The cost for the course is $55 per person. Participants will have access to the course for 90 days from the date of enrollment.
“QuickBooks can be a powerful tool for producers,” said Anastasia Meyer, Center for Agricultural Profitability economist. “By partnering with Texas A&M Extension, we’re combining expertise to deliver practical, hands-on training that meets producers where they are.”
This course is supported by USDA/NIFA under Award Number 2024-70027-42470. All attendees are welcome to participate regardless of race, gender, or any other protected status.
