Risk Management Groups

What does a RMG look like?
  • 6-15 agricultural women participants
  • Meeting monthly from October to April (suggested)
  • Meeting 1 1/2 to 2 hours
  • Facilitated/Organized by local agricultural women
  • One timely lesson or topic as the focus each month
  • Group support from UNL Extension offices (i.e. meeting space, publicity and local agricultural resources)
  • Program and curriculum support from UNL WIA and the Department of Agricultural Economics

Risk Management Groups provide an opportunity for women to…

  • improve their agricultural management skills,
  • benefit by socializing with other like-minded women,
  • and provide a blend of the financial and personal side of agricultural business.
