Returning To The Farm

A program for students, beginning farmers and their parents designed to assist families in developing successful working arrangements and a financial plan that meets the needs of multiple families.

Through this program participants will:
  • Write short and long term business and family goals
  • Assess the preferences of individuals in the operation
  • Recognize personality temperaments and learn to work with each individual’s strengths
  • Become informed about alternative business arrangements
  • Analyze the financial performance of the operation
  • Evaluate various operating alternative


This two-part workshop is held in December and January in Lincoln, NE. 

2009 - 2010 session of Returning to the Farm will be held December 11 & 12, 2009 and January 8 & 9, 2010.  Please click here for registration brochure.

The 2008-2009 session of Returning to the Farm was held December 5 & 6, 2008, and January 9 & 10, 2009. 

The 2007-2008 session of Returning to the Farm was held November 30 & December 1, 2007 and January 11 & 12, 2008.  Thirteen families attended for a total of 56 participants.

The 2006-2007 session of Returning to the Farm was held December 1 & 2, 2006 and January 5 & 6, 2007.  Sixteen families attended for a total of 56 participants.
